About

8.3 Billion metric tons of plastic have been made since the early1950s and 8 million tons of plastic end up in our oceans every year. With Basically Brave we have decided to take a stand.

Basically Brave is a sustainable athleisure brand founded by a young woman on the jersey shore. With sustainability at the forefront of our mission, Basically Brave turns garbage into garments using recycled plastic bottles and up-cycled ocean waste to create fashionable and comfortable athleisure wear. We source fabrics that we’ve personally researched and vetted and as we grow larger and more resources become available to us we hope to expand on our solutions and the impact we have.

Social responsibility and ethical labor practices are paramount in our establishment, no matter the cost. Our manufacturer is a woman owned and operated factory in Portland, Oregon.

Basically Brave's goal is to create a tribe of fearless individuals who love the Earth and want to make a difference one small step at a time.

Join the fight for our planet!
